Ray has over 25 years experience as a Learning and Development
specialist and has been working for Linkage Western Europe as a
consultant for the past 6 years. Ray has designed and delivered
numerous Leadership and Management Development solutions and can be
relied on to provide a pragmatic ‘outcomes-driven’ approach. His
particular expertise is in helping individuals align their
capabilities to emerging organisational needs. Use is made of a wide
range of tools and techniques including those drawn from the fields
of coaching, change management, emotional intelligence and neuro
linguistic programming. He has extensive expertise in the
identification of talent within organisations and experience in the
design of assessment and development solutions.
Professional Background
Ray brings to Linkage over thirty years experience of both
commercial management and capability development having worked in a
variety of business settings within the UK Banking sector during a
period of unprecedented change. During this time Ray was in the
forefront of human resource development playing key roles in leading
and implementing strategies such as the development of a Corporate
University, implementation of blended learning solutions,
e-learning, workshop-based design, action learning and trainer
development. Ray has led large training functions and managed
training projects within a major FTSE 100 financial services
company. He is an experienced coach and mentor, with a background in
formal assessment mechanisms such as Assessment Centres, IIP, NVQ’s
and a number of Psychometric instruments. Ray is a certified NLP
master practitioner and member of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel and Development (MCIPD).
Before joining Linkage Ray took time out to enjoy a sabbatical
period working with a charity called the Campaign for Learning. This
work involved a project working with a range of volunteer schools
across the UK researching the effectiveness of various learning
methodologies on pupil’s ability to learn. As a result of the
research Ray co-authored a book ‘Teaching pupils how to learn’.
Ray is Master Certified in the Leading Organisational Transitions
methodology which Linkage uses in its work around managing the human
side of change.
